Obama: Just Making Stuff Up To Impress Hispanics

RALEIGH— So saith the man from the 57^th State in the Union.

The land modernly known as Mexico was first visited by Europeans in 1517. Spaniards actually. Mexico declared Independence in 1820. It was recognized as Mexico a year later in 1821.

The United States of America was formed in 1776.

Apparently Mexicans existed long before Mexico was even an idea.
