ATLANTA— Jon Stewart is holding a rally on the National Mall on October 30, 2010 to “restore sanity” to American politics.  It is a snide, dismissive retort to the Tea Party rallies held there in previous weeks and a general snub at the anger voiced by mainstream, conservative Americans over the past two years. There are many things that are ironic and interesting about this rally by Mr. Stewart.  Chief among them, however, is that this will probably help, not hurt, the Tea Party heading into the November 2nd mid-term election.
