Give Us Our Money Back — Nikki Haley to Barrack Obama

The taxpayers of South Carolina have paid $1.2 billion to [develop a plan] to send our nuclear waste to Yucca Mountain.
I asked [Mr. Obama] if he would consider honoring the federal commitment and allow waste to go to Yucca Mountain. His answer was no.
He went on to the fact that they feel like they had safety concerns. He was pretty adamant that [Yucca Mountain] was not an option that was on the table.

RALEIGH— Give us our money back. Quite the demand. Impressive, I must say. Very strong start for the new Governor. I remember being impressed with some of the previous South Carolina Governor’s words all the way up until he started talking about the Appalacian Trail. If Nikki Haley can stay off that trail, South Carolina might actually have a Governor to be proud.
