ATLANTA— I’m not surprised to be reading articles this morning highlighting the controversial nature of the Audi “Green Police” ad that debuted during the Super Bowl. I watched the game and when I saw this ad, I was pretty shocked. Some suggest this ad is ahead of the curve, by appealing to people who may themselves not be environmental fanatics, but nonetheless want to do the right thing and buy a car that fits the cultural trends. My personal reactions are that this was a very poorly constructed ad written by people who live in a political vacuum and have no idea that there really is a large chunk of the American public that rejects pop-culture environmental nagging and fears that this is the kind of ridiculous world we are headed towards. Interestingly, they are the demographic that probably represented the biggest portion of the Super Bowl viewership. I thought this was a horribly tone-deaf ad, geared towards latte liberals who live in a stratosphere not our own.

Tone-deaf? I thought the boost mobile rap-flashback ad was terrible. I was a little surprised when I saw the green-police ad, but I think it did its job. It got people talking and got the product out there. The Boost ad was horrid.
Yes – that was awful. I concur.
My personal favorite, bar none, was the screaming clown right before the game. Absolutely hilarious. Did you see it?
Here is the link:
Ha ha ha! pretty funny!
Green Police? I think the only thing the “Green Police” are after is green. That was the stupidest commercial ever. Even if it was not for a “green” vehicle it was not done very well. It looks like they through it together with no real thought. The best one was Brett Favre (dont remember who the add was for) winning the 2020 MVP award and then saying “I think its time to retire………mmmm maybe not”……..lol.
