   Where to begin?

   Oh well, probably arranging for all of those questionable mortgages to be steered to Fannie and Freddie might be a good starting place, let alone his vote to arrange for bailouts to cover their collapse.

   Or we could simply consider an off-color interpretation of the title ……

   I think it’s mainly for his hand in Frannie and Freddie Mac which have used $112 billion in taxpayer dollars just to remain operating. Other issues have been such things as his TARP actions.

   He was front and center in support of enactment of TARP, which noticeably had no enforceable strings attached related to executive compensation. Indeed, he helped promote perks for bank executives. According to a January 24, 2009 Boston Herald editorial, Chairman Frank made sure “one of the recipients of a $12 million infusion of federal cash was the troubled OneUnited Bank in Boston – a bank that had already been accused of ‘unsafe and unsound banking practices.’ Its CEO, Kevin Cohee had also been criticized by regulators for ‘excessive’ pay that included a Porsche.” Chairman Frank included specific provisions in TARP aimed at bailing out OneUnited and spoke directly to Treasury officials about it.

   Certainly Fannie and Freddie would qualify him, along with his TARP manipulations and the bald-faced reward for special interests in the case of Kevin Cohee and the OneUnited Bank in Boston.

   Or, if we resorted to a somewhat off-color interpretation of his general lifestyle ………

   One can only hope that Mr. Frank’s shenanigans will eventually wear thin with Massachusetts voters and that another “safe” Democratic political Congressional seat will become up for grabs.
