ATLANTA— Wow – looks like Nancy Pelosi doesn’t understand genuine dissent. Neither does the national Democratic Party. The message they are giving during this August recess is that anyone who opposes health care is a fringe, right-wing, extremist that thinks Barack Obama was born in Kenya.
Not true!
On this site, we fully believe Barack Obama is an all-American guy from Hawaii with good looks, a silver tongue, and an inspirational story. We just think he was grossly inexperienced for the job of president, that he is dead-wrong on his instincts about the role government should (and can) play in American society, and that he has made a host of really bad decisions surrounding the economy since taking office. Couple all of this with this miserable healthcare plan that Mr. Obama supports that is not properly funded, that will limit the quality and availability of care, and that is being drafted in a very partisan manner, and that’s why we are protesting!
As to Nancy Pelosi, we have nothing nice to say about her, so we’ll keep quiet. But the above footage just goes to show you that this woman is out of touch. How can you characterize dissent in this way when support for this health care reform is tanking across the board. Does she imply that everyone who disagrees with this bill is a Nazi? What does that say about America, because around 50 percent or more of people oppose this bill now, according to most polls.
The left just can’t believe their golden boy Barack is tanking and facing widespread rejection after only a handful of months in office. Last November wasn’t the great national political shift to the left they thought it was.
