As a Taxpayer, Are You Excited to be Working Hard So That General Motors Can Provide Its Customers With a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty?

ATLANTA— With each passing day in the automotive industry debacle, I grow angrier and angrier.    I just read the article below about how General Motors’ restructuring plan involves the government taking a majority stake in the company.  What a complete disaster.  While this may not go through as outlined, I still could not be more upset with the possibility.  I will never buy another General Motors car as long as I live.   I am a proud owner of a Ford Escape- had no idea the political significance of my decision to buy a Ford a few years ago, but am glad I am not found owning a GM (or “Government Motors”) vehicle here in the midst of the crisis.
