LONG BEACH— After Barack Obama lost his sizable lead in the national polls, in the electoral college, and in the women voter block, he has announced that the Politics of Change are over. Today he released a video which attacks his opponent in a way befitting old politics. Infuriated by the political cheap-shots Mr. McCain has been scoring off the misrepresentation of the ‘lipstick’ comment, Barack Obama showed his youth in this ad. He attacks McCain’s age implying that the old cannot lead because they are inherently out of touch with modern life. This ad also acknowledges Mr. Obama’s inability to comprehend Mr. McCain’s sense of humor. Congratulations Mr. Obama. The petty politics of the past are no longer beneath you. Unfortunately this now implies that even more critical decisions are above his pay grade.
Mr. Obama has yet to come out with an ad admitting that single party rule is exactly what led to the abuse of power over the previous 6 years prior to the Democrats taking over congress. He continues to offer his idea that keeping the politics in Washington the same is actually a change in politics. Since entering his bid for the White House Mr. Obama has renounced his views on the right to keep and bear arms, campaign finance, his own pastor and now the base of his entire political message. How many more parts of his platform will he scrap in his effort to return the Executive and Legislative branches into the hands of single party rule?
